Home is on the road

There’s no winter like last summer

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” Well, that might be only in the song, or in Vail, or Aspen; not at all in trucking. Winter is a big challange for every trucker, no matter if he is in the very first snowstorm of his career or he has under his belt dozens of years over the road. Last week I had the “opportunity” to enjoy the whole pleasure of slick or not plowed roads, numerous accidents, traffic jams, everything as a result of “the most wonderful time of the year”.

“Dear Friend, if you think that I forgot you this year, you’re wrong, my congrats for your birthday might be laying in a ditch in Iowa among other thousands of letters”

Do you still think “tailgating is cool?”

Is this what we call a parallel parking?

Better to arrive later, but alive!

As I said, “It is the most wonderful time of the year”

Not the best place to park
